  • Engines of Narrative

A recurring online prose symposium and workshop led by Elizabeth Gaffney. It can be taken multiple times. EON provides a supportive yet challenging community and an ongoing conversation for the purpose of helping each writer develop, finish or revise a manuscript. In addition to the main weekly meeting, EON offers:

•Weekly Craft Topics tailored to the specific interests of the writers enrolled

    •Morning Co-Writing hours with prompts

    •Office hours

•Written Feedback and Marginal Notes from the Workshop Leader

Generative EON sessions are 5-weeks long and writing-intensive. Your goal should be to write every day during the session and to share ~500 words a week with the group, to be read out-loud, during the workshop. There is no requirement to read other writers' work in advance or make written comments. Each writer will receive written feedback from Elizabeth Gaffney on the work they share. We’ll spend time discussing each writer’s project in terms of its larger structure and any roadblocks the writer may be encountering.

This class is limited to 8 writers.
